Impatience for Mars
For decades, sending humans to Mars has been a long-term goal, officially or otherwise, for NASA’s human spaceflight efforts. The emphasis, though, should be on “long-term”: over the decades, that goal has remained decades in the future, once NASA built a space station, or returned to the Moon, or did any number of other interim steps.
