Watch A Replay Of The ESA’s Spaceplane Launch
On Wednesday morning local time the European Space Agency successfully launched the first prototype of their reusable spaceplane, the Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle (IXV). Lifting off atop a Vega rocket from the ESA’s French Guiana spaceport, the IXV will help the space agency develop a reusable craft of their own — making them less reliant on SpaceX’s Dragon capsule and Russia’s Soyuz.
