When Twitter debuted in 2006, its path was unclear. However, eight years later, a world without Twitter is nearly unfathomable. The instantaneous, spontaneous, ever-aggregating, customizable newspaper with a side of conversation has become so much more. Twitter’s integral role in society is indisputable. It has seeped into every communication crevice, bringing people together, ripping them apart, and doing it all in under 140 characters.
